The Best Lender I've Worked With

You know as a real estate agent, I am constantly meeting and working with mortgage lenders.  Everyone is nice and great and knowledgeable until they aren't lol
Well, I had a transaction that was dead in the water because the buyer's original lender fell off the face of the earth without telling us he was leaving. Well let me tell you about Debbie Hukill of Starkey Mortgage.

The buyer was set to close on the 12th of the month and around the 7th *Poof* *Vamoose* the lender was gone...I mean dude put on Harry Potter's Invisibility Cloak!  What am I supposed to do with this?!?!?!? My client is calling me for answer that I don't have.  I went to their office and the branch manager had no sense of urgency and like most managers, didn't seem to know where to start.  Okay, think Ayesha, think...and just like that the LORD to call Debbie.  I called, gave her the quick rundown of events.  She met my buyer the same day and we were clear to close within...

wait for it...

sit down before you read further...

about 8 business days!
Say What!?!?!?

Yep, she worked it out!  She came in, took the loan from another company (who didn't send over the FHA file for several days) and still got it closed before the end of the month!

Now, if you have never had deal flat-line 50 yards from the finish line, congrats, keep up the good work.  This was the first time it was a lender issue and I'm so thankful for Debbie and her team!

Nestled right between I85 bypass and I40/85 business is a gem called Gramercy Park.  If you are looking for a quality built home, in an established subdivision that's minutes from shopping, highways, and still has a rural feel, then this is the place for you.  Gramercy Park has nice wide streets and friendly neighbors.  This house has high ceilings, lots of windows and an open floor plan. There are 3 bedrooms, and a bonus room up stairs and an office and sun room on the main level.

"Seller Says"

The things I love about Greensboro include all the great places there are to go that are kid friendly as well as the adult night life. These places include the Children's Museum, the Natural Science Center & Wet and Wild Emerald Pointe Water Park to name a few. Additionally, the Greensboro Coliseum is a great place for concerts from your favorite artists! We come from a small country eastern NC town and Greensboro is just the right pace for us.

Our neighborhood is very quiet and full of friendly people from all walks of life. The traffic is low and we are minutes from Barber Park which has a spray park for children in the summer. There is also a campground nearby and a brand new Elementary School.

We love to eat at Cracker Barrel, Smithfield's as a family. There are also lots of our favorite fast food places within minutes including Bojangles, Andy's, Subway, Wendy's, McDonald's and Burger King.

Stores are plentiful in our neighborhood. They include Food Lion, CVS, Walmart, and Lowes. We also have a few "corner" stores that we like to support also.

When we bought our home we were drawn to the close proximity to our jobs at NC A&T SU and Citi Corp as well as easy access to HWYs 85/40. Our neighborhood is not too urban and not too rural. It is the best of both worlds and we love that!

The Triad area is awesome. With nearby parks and recreation , activities are endless. We have a new YMCA two miles from our neighborhood. Our children's schools are only a few miles away which makes our daily commute short and sweet.

A few other things that I can mention about our area include the distance we are from downtown. We are about 10 minutes from downtown which is where our minor league baseball team's home field resides (The Grasshoppers).

We love the Greatest Homecoming on Earth which is in Greensboro at the prestigious NC A&T SU.

We love the quality of live entertainment in Greensboro

Our family loves animals so we enjoy visiting the A&T Farm minutes away from our neighborhood. Our other hobbies include cooking out on the grill, going to the movies, spending time with our children, and attending A&T football games.
